CIRCULAR TO ALL STUDENTS

RESUMPTION PROTOCOL FOR SECOND SEMESTER 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

A. STUDENTS WHO DID NOT PROCEED ON BREAK AFTER THE FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

  1. Students who did not proceed on break after the first semester examinations are requested to make at least 75% payment of fee before being allowed to remain in halls of residence.
  2. You are requested to proceed to Student Affairs Unit with evidence of payment of at least 75% of fees and course registration form to obtain clearance to be re-admitted into the halls of residence.
  3. On Saturday, 28th February, 2026, all students in the halls of residence will be requested to temporarily vacate their halls for re-admission into the halls of residence.
  4. The re-admission exercise will commence at 10:00a.m.
  5. Students who fail to make 75% payment will NOT be re-admitted into the halls of residence.
  6. Bursary Department will be on ground to attend to students.



B. RESUMPTION ON SUNDAY, 1st MARCH, 2026 FOR THOSE WHO PROCEEDED ON BREAK AFTER THE FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

  1. Students are expected to resume on Sunday, 1st March, 2026 and are to arrive between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 7:00p.m.
  2. All students are expected to have paid a minimum of 75% of their fees.
  3. Parents and students entering the University on resumption day are expected to come through the main gate along Idiroko road.
  4. All vehicles are to go through mandatory security check at the university gate.
  5. Clearance for admission into the halls of residence will be issued on College basis as follows:
    • COLENG — Marquee
    • COLNAS/COLCOMP — ELT
    • COLFAST — Lecture Theatre I
    • COLENVS — Lecture Theatre I
    • COLMANS — Lecture Theatre II


C. GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. The Bursary Department will have a desk at each venue to confirm payments.
  2. All students are enjoined to come along with copies of evidence of payment of fees and course registration form to the College and Student Affairs desks.
  3. All students are expected to dress decently. Indecent dressing will not be tolerated.
  4. All female students should have their hair not longer than mid-back length and of their natural hair colour (odd colours or tinted colours are not allowed). Tattoos, multiple piercings, nose rings and ankle chains are not allowed.
  5. All male students are to cut their hair neatly and low. Beards are to be clean shaved. Tattoos, ear rings, necklace, hand chains/beads/bracelets and braiding of hair are not allowed.
  6. All students are requested to present themselves for mandatory drug screening test in the University Health Centre from Monday, 9th March to Friday, 27th March, 2026 between the hours of 8:30a.m. and 1:00p.m. Students who did not present themselves for the drug test will be made to appear before the Drug Abuse Committee (DAC).



D. AT THE HALLS OF RESIDENCE

Hall Wardens and other hall officials will coordinate halls of residence admission procedures as follows:
a. Presentation of clearance
b. Presentation of evidence of payment of fees
c. Collection of keys by occupants

E. COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURES

Lectures will commence on Monday, 9th March, 2026.
