BELLSTECH CORPORATE AFFAIRS UNIT UNVEILED BY THE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

The Management of Bells University of Technology on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, announced the take-off of the BELLSTECH Corporate Affairs Unit, even as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah O. Ojediran, charged the new  Unit to recognize and appreciate the huge responsibilities placed on them.

The Vice-Chancellor in his remarks said projecting the positive image of our institution to the world has become very necessary because of the giant strides and the developmental initiatives, which the University has been attaining since inception.

Professor Ojediran stated that it is through deliberate positive corporate and public awareness that BELLSTECH can be visible, viable and positively projected to the larger Society. Also, the University’s activities, in terms of teaching, research and community development should be positively projected. Also, the positive image of our university lies on every member of the University Community as a collective responsibility, hence there is need to look inwards and appoint qualified persons to manage such sensitive unit for prompt action.

The Vice-Chancellor further explained that deliberate engagements with the media for official communication and relating with the publics (internal and external) on behalf of the University to eliminate bias and harvest real-time relevant feedback is essential to the unit and institutional growth. He said, the vision, mission and core values that define the brand of the institution are to be projected by the Corporate Affairs Unit.

While appreciating the new appointees of the BELLSTECH Corporate affairs unit, the Vice-Chancellor charged Prof. Ojo Sunday Fayomi, the Chairman of the Steering Committee, to provide the needed leadership of packaging and improving the corporate visibility and brand awareness of Bellstech.

Other members of the Steering Committee are Dr. Felicia Yusuf, (The University Librarian / Convener); Mr. Ademola Agiri, (PAR, VCO/BoT Office); Mr. Hakeem Adeyemi, (SAR, VCO / PRO); Mrs. Aghama Jesurobo, (Snr. Systems Programmer and WebMaster) Mr. Damilare Adenle, Admin. Assistant (Multi-Media) and Mr. Oluwatobi Oluwatumisile, Snr. Data Entry Officer (Graphics)

The Chairman of the Steering Committee, Professor Fayomi, who spoke on behalf of the newly appointed members, expressed his appreciation to God and the Management for the honour. He assured that the Committee would deliver to the best of its capabilities.
