Message from the Dean:

The Natural and Applied Sciences programmes are designed to produce broad- based, resourceful, well- equipped graduates,  grounded in theory and practice, who would be capable of :

    • Creative and effective application of their knowledge and skills;
    • Solving problems in industries and business organization;
    • Meeting recent challenges and developments in a competitive and dynamic economy;
    • Creating Self – employment and entrepreneurship; and

Admission Requirements

Programme O’Level Requirements Direct Entry UTME Subjects
Physics with Electronics Five (5) O’ Level Credits at one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two subjects from Basic Electronics, Data Processing, Information and Technology, Computer Science, Basic Electricity , Applied Electricity, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography or any other Science Subjects.

A’Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.

ND/HND at lower credit in Physics, Electrical Electronics, Electronics, Applied Electricity, Computer Technology and any other related Courses will be considered.

 English Language, Mathematics and any other two (2) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Applied Mathematics with Statistics Five (5) O’ Level Credits at one or two sittings which must include English Language and any other three subjects from Basic Electronics, Data Processing, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Basic Electricity , Applied Electricity, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography or any other Science Subjects.

A’Level passes in subjects to include Mathematics.

ND/HND at Lower Credit in Mathematics, Statistics or any other related Courses will be considered.

 English Language, Mathematics and any other two (2) from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography, Economics and Further Mathematics.
Industrial Chemistry Five (5) O’ Level Credits at one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Sciences.

A’Level passes in Chemistry and Physics/Biology/Mathematics.

Candidates with a minimum of Lower Credit at the ND/HND or equivalent in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science and Technology and related discipline may be admitted.

 English Language, Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Mathematics
Biochemistry Five (5) O’ Level Credits at one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

A’Level passes in Biology and Physics/Chemistry.

Candidates with a minimum of Lower Credit at the ND/HND  in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Science and Technology and related discipline may be admitted.

 English Language, Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Mathematics
Microbiology Five (5) O’ Level Credits at one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one of Physics, Geography/Further Mathematics/Agricultural Science.

Candidates in addition to O’Level requirements must have A’Level passes in Biology and Physics/Chemistry.

Candidates with a minimum of Lower Credit at the ND/HND  in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science and Technology and related disciplines.

 English Language, Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Mathematics
Computer Science, Information Technology Five (5) O’ Level Credits in one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. A Credit in Further Mathematics is an added advantage.

Candidates with at least 2 A’Level passes in science subjects including Physics and Mathematics.

Candidates with a minimum of Upper Credit at the ND/HND  in Computer Science from a recognized polytechnic.

NCE with at least Credit in Mathematics, Physics and Biology.

Waiver: A pass in Chemistry at O’Level is accepted.

 English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology.
