Bells University of Technology, Ota, has recorded another remarkable achievement as Miss Fariat Damilola Hamzat, the 2024/2025 Best Graduating Student in both the Department of Food Science and Technology and the College of Food Agricultural Science and Technology (COLFAST), has emerged as the Overall Best Female Graduate in Food Science and Technology among Nigerian universities offering the Bachelor’s degree programme.
The prestigious Dolapo Coker Award was conferred at the recently concluded 50th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), held at the Welcome Centre Hotel, Lagos from 12 -16th October, 2026.
Miss Hamzat’s outstanding accomplishment reflects her academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to scholarship. Her achievement is a source of immense pride to Bells University of Technology and further demonstrates the University’s commitment to academic excellence and the development of highly skilled graduates in food science and technology.

In another noteworthy achievement, Mrs Bolanle Esther Daramola, an Assistant Chief Technologist and doctoral student in the Department of Food Science and Technology, Bells University of Technology, secured second position in the poster presentation category at the same conference.
Her accomplishment highlights the University’s commitment to research excellence, innovation, and the continuous advancement of knowledge through scientific inquiry and professional engagement.
