Advancement Centre of Bells University of technology, Ota Nigeria, was established by the University Senate in December, 2018. The Centre, located in the office of the Vice Chancellor, was assigned the responsibilities of being involved in various fund raising activities for the advancement of the University as well as coordinating collaborations and partnership or linkages between the University and other Institutions, both national and international. The mandates of the Centre as to:
- Attract necessary teaching, research and infrastructural facilities to the University through fundraising activities and other financial or material supports from grants (local and International), Alumni association, endowments, donors, etc.
- Identify relevant reputable Institutions, organizations and industries and explore possibilities for establishing collaboration and partnership
- Work with the University Legal officer to facilitate memorandum of understanding / agreement between the university and its partners
- Promote internationalization of the University in line with the University’s vision and mission
- Organise advancement seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. to staff, students and partners
- Carry out any other duty assigned by the Vice Chancellor
The Centre is poised to develop strategies to drive the achievement of the University’s vision of being a world-renowned University that is committed to the development and transformation of society through environmental friendly technology and other innovations.
- CALP Online Partnership meeting
Upon receiving a letter of intent for partnership, the Centre for Advancement, Linkages and Partnerships (CALP) conducts virtual and onsite meetings with local or international prospective partners to discuss areas of mutual benefits which, upon the approval of the University Management, can result in the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Advisory Committee on Linkages and Partnerships (ACLP) assists in the strategic deliberation to determine of areas of mutual benefits for the Director of CALP to make recommendation to the University Management either for approval or otherwise. The CALP office works with the University legal personnel to produce an MOU that is acceptable by both parties.

The University is opens to beneficial collaboration and partnership. The CALP establishes and maintain a strategic partnerships with academic Institutions, Industries Government establishment, etc. both foreign and local. Such partnership are in the areas of collaborative research, staff and student exchange, joint grant proposal writing, joint conferences, co-supervision, International Visiting Scholar, etc. Some of the partners are:

- CALP Workshops and Seminars
Parts of the University’s strategies for achieving advancement in teaching, research and community service is by conducting educative seminars, workshops, symposia, etc. The CALP, like other Centres and Units, conducts such enlightening programmes especially to fill certain knowledge gap or further creates exposure to new academic or research tools such as ICT, Artificial Intelligent, teaching methodology, etc. Local or foreign facilitators are employed to handle these programmes.
