BELLS UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS WITH ACADEMY OF INNOVATIVE RESEARCH, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

Bells University of Technology, Ota, has officially entered into a strategic partnership agreement with the Academy of Innovative Research, Science & Technological Development (AcIRSTD), following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 11, 2025. This collaboration aims to foster significant advancements in research, innovation, and academic development for both institutions.

The MOU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah O. Ojediran, RE (COREN), FNSE, FNAIE, IION, and Prof. B.I. Akin-Ogunsaki (AcIRSTD President General). The signing ceremony also had other notable officials from both institutions in attendance. These include the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Bellstech, Prof. Akunnaya Pearl Opoko, Registrar, Bellstech, Mr. Lamidi S. Tafa. Others are, Prof. B. Akinsanya (AcIRSTD, Executive Director, Partnerships and Linkages), and Prof. Ruth Inaolaji (AcIRSTD Registrar).

BellsTech, the first private university of technology continues to build on its billings as a world renowned University that is committed to the development of environmental friendly technology and other innovations as it links with AcIRSTD, a sub-group of International Association of Research Scholars and Administration (IARSA) that brings a wealth of expertise and a network of existing local and international university and organizational partnerships to the new alliance.

The comprehensive collaboration areas outlined in the MoU include joint research initiatives and conferences, enhancing the Entrepreneurship unit of Bells University, facilitating stronger linkages with industries, and the commercialization of research findings. Furthermore, the partnership will promote staff exchange programs, support the acquisition of funding from national and international research collaborations, and facilitate jointly organized symposia, seminars, and conferences. Other key areas encompass joint publications, the development of distance learning programs, and the implementation of joint training and professional development programs. This extensive range of activities is designed to foster a dynamic environment of innovation and academic excellence.
