Bells University of Technology, Ota, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tech outfit, New Horizons Systems Solutions Limited. The short ceremony was held on Wednesday, 22nd March 2023.
The signing was held in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jeremiah O. Ojediran, R.E. (COREN), MNSE, FNIAE, with other members of Management along with the University Lawyer in attendance. The Vice-Chancellor, while signing on behalf of the University expressed his happiness at the continued progress brought by the relationship with New Horizons. Indeed, he said, the company is a veritable partner in progress.
BellsTech and New Horizons had previously signed an agreement which expired on the 19th of December, 2022, this making the renewal of the MOU a necessity. The meeting held to renew the agreement between the two parties also had the MD,CEO of New Horizons, Mr. Tim Akano signing on behalf of New Horizons Systems Solutions Limited. He also expressed his joy at the cordial relations the company had enjoyed with Bellstech since the MOU was first signed.
As a part of the agreement, the New Horizons Systems Solutions Limited will embark on a project of donating a 500 seater lecture hall, equipped with 150 brand new computers for the University. The company will also undertake the upgrading technologies used by Bells University students. This is targeted at improving the technological and educational capabilities of the University and her students.
The building plan for the 500 seater project was presented at the MOU meeting for the University Management to have a first look at the structure the lecture hall will take when it is eventually completed.
After the meeting, the University Management and the New Horizons team inspected the site earmarked for the proposed project.
