Chief Jamodu bags honorary doctorate degree at Bells University of Technology

Bells University of Technology, Ota has conferred on the immediate past Pro-Chancellor & Chairman, Governing Council, Chief (Dr.) Kolawole Babalola Jamodu, CFR, OFR, D.Sc, a Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) for his immense contributions to the socio-economic development in Nigeria. The award was given at the 12th Convocation ceremony of the institution held on Saturday, 10 April, 2021.

The conferment which took place at the University Convocation Ground witnessed many dignitaries, parents of graduating students from all walks of life including former President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, Rev. (Dr.) Wilson A. Badejo President & Chairman, Board of Trustees, Bells University, Professor Bart Nnaji, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Royal Fathers and Captains of industry.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Jamodu encouraged the students to always work hard and be determined in their pursuit of purpose. “Today, as I accept this honour, I want to encourage our young ones and university students that hard work and determination pays. Let your certificate not replace the place of hard work and determination”

He also paid tribute to the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo for his contribution towards the development of the university and the nation at large.
