Our attention has been drawn to a circular purportedly issued by the Registrar captioned “COVID-19 SCREENING “dated 27th April, 2021, stating that the University is requesting students to pay a sum of Thirty -Five Thousand naira (35,000) only for COVID-19 and drug tests to be carried out between 30th April, 2021 and 1st May, 2021.
I hereby state that the said circular never emanated from the Office of the Registrar. It is therefore deceptive, fraudulent and of no effect.
Consequently, all staff and students are requested to discountenance such circular as the University is not carrying out any mandatory COVID-19 and drug tests for students.
