NIMET BEGINS SITE ASSESSMENT AND FEASIBILITY STUDY AT BELLSTECH

Following the MoU signed between Bellstech and NIMET about 2 months ago, a team of Engineers and Weather Experts have arrived at the Bells University campus to begin assessments and carryout feasibility studies on the probable sites for the proposed weather station to be sited on the campus.

While welcoming the team, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jeremiah O. Ojediran, R.E. (COREN), FNSE, FNIAE commended the Director-General of NIMET, Prof. Charles Anosike for the quick action given to the weather station MoU.  He said, it is quite commendable that action has started from NIMET for the actualization of the laudable project.  He also assured the team of Bellstech’s preparedness to start the project.

In his words, “a formidable team has been constituted by Bellstech to work with the NIMET team”.  He also gave the assurances and support of the Chief Promoter, Chief Olusgun Obasanjo for the project.

The team later visited the sites and facilities allocated for the station, they also held a technical meeting with the Bellstech team towards mapping out strategies and technicalities for the weather station take off.
