I write on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah O. Ojediran, R.E. (COREN), FNSE, FNIAE, and the entire Management of the University to express our sincere appreciation to our esteemed parents, guardians, sponsors, and students for making Bells University of Technology your preferred Institution.
We are particularly grateful to the Executive members of Bells University Parents’ Forum (BUPF) and all members of the forum for their continued support and contributions to the orderly growth and development of the University.
As the University is preparing to resume for the 2025/2026 academic session, I write to inform all returning 300–500 level students that the resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session has been fixed for Sunday, 21st September 2025.
Consequently, all returning 300–500 level students are requested to note the following resumption protocol and prepare accordingly for the resumption:
A. AT THE UNIVERSITY’S MAIN GATE
1. Parents and students entering the University on resumption day are expected to come through the main gate along Idiroko Road.
2. All vehicles are to go through a mandatory security check at the University gate.
3. Clearance for admission into the halls of residence will be issued on a College basis as follows:
a. COLENG – ELT
b. COLNAS and COLMANS – Hall D
c. COLENVS and COLFAST – Lecture Theatre 1
B. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Returning 300–500 level students are expected to arrive between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
2. All students are expected to have paid a minimum of 25% of their fees.
3. The Bursary Department will have a desk at each venue to confirm payments.
4. Course registration forms should be printed and submitted to departmental officers at each venue for processing within two weeks.
5. All students are enjoined to come along with hard copies of evidence of payment, course registration, and room allocation forms for authentication at the reception points.
6. All students are expected to dress decently. Indecent dressing will not be tolerated.
7. All female students should have their hair not longer than mid-back length and of their natural hair colour (odd colours or tinted colours are not allowed). They are also not allowed to have tattoos, multiple piercings (no nose rings, ankle chains, etc.).
8. All male students are to cut their hair neatly and low; beards are to be clean-shaven. Tattoos, earrings, necklaces, hand chains/beads/bracelets, and braiding of hair are not allowed.
C. COLLECTION OF MATTRESSES FROM FORMER HALLS.
All students should report to their former hostels to pick up their mattresses and sign for them.
D. AT THE HALLS OF RESIDENCE
Hall Wardens and other hall officials will coordinate halls of residence admission procedures as follows:
a. Presentation of clearance
b. Presentation of evidence of school fees payment
c. Registration/documentation
d. Collection of keys by occupants
e. Room inspection by the porter and occupants
E. AT THE UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRE.
All students are to undergo a mandatory drug screening at a cost of ₦17,000.00 per semester between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. from Monday, September 22nd to Friday, 10th October, 2025, with their student identity card.
Please note that failure to undergo the mandatory drug test will be sanctioned accordingly.
