Students undergo Students Works experience Programme (SWEP) for a period of three months at the end of their 200 level.

They engage in three (3) and six (6) months of Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in 300 & 400 level respectively which gives the student at least nine (9) months of working industrial experience before graduating from the University.

At 500 level, the students will undergo coursework and supervised projects in their areas of interest and present results orally before a panel of examiners, that is, by oral presentation and defense.

As the field of engineering is wide and diverse, so are the career opportunities for our graduates.

From the conception of new ideas, planning and maintenance, or the managing of complex products and manufacturing systems, engineering is an exciting profession – one in which an individual can take pride.

Our graduates continue into exciting careers in the service industry, manufacturing, consultancy, construction, design, manufacturing, management, and many others.

Many of the world’s most successful companies have a leader with a background in engineering (for example Microsoft, Amazon and General Motors).

B.Eng Mechanical Engineering at The Bells University of Technology will open up a whole range of opportunities to you. Our course has practical base, to ensure you leave us with not only the theory behind mechanical engineering, but also the skills to put theory into practice.

We have strong links with a wide variety of companies, across many engineering sectors, and our Industrial Advisory Boards enable us to ensure our courses remain up-to-date with the current needs of our environments.
