NUC accreditation teams commend Bells University of Technology

After an intense one month-long rigorous scrutiny, the National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation teams to Bells University of technology, Ota, Ogun state have commended the quality of academic and research resources available in the institution at the end of the exercise.

While presenting their various initial assessment report, the various team leaders commended the efforts being put in place by Bellstech Management in ensuring a high level of compliance and innovations. One of the Accreditation Teams led by Engineer Professor Tunji Ibiyemi commended the quality of books and electronic subscriptions available for learners and researchers under different programmes. 

He noted the novelty and attractiveness of the internal Quality Assurance mechanism put in place by the university and called on other universities in the country to adopt this model as being done by Bells University of Technology.

Professor Tunji Ibiyemi who led the team to examine the Mechatronics course advised a partnership between relèvent organizations and the institutions in order to promote further successes and progress in the running of the university. 

Similarly, other teams commended the library materials provided for research and commended the e-library   . 

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah Ojediran, RE (COREN) MNSE, thanked the various teams for their dedication and commitment towards improving the university system in the country. He also appreciated their efforts in making sure that all departments were being run on established and laid down benchmarks. 

He stated that NUC accreditation is not a witch-hunt but a peer review mechanism aimed at improving the standard and quality of the University system

He further commended all departments and units in Bellstech that were involved in making the accreditation exercise a great success. 

He pledged to look into the various suggestions and recommendations made by the Teams towards improving the university’s output.
